This Orange Sweet essential oil has higher aldehydes and lower than normal limonene content. Some orange essential oils have up to 96% limonene and the flavor comes from the remaining small amount of its constituents. We are pleased to find this cold pressed essential oil that is not steam distilled with 91% or less limonene content for a more flavorful oil that has not been damaged by steam distillation.
Essential oil made from Orange peel has a very fresh, sweet orange scent. It is uplifting and relaxing and commonly added to blends to fight depression, anxiety and insomnia.
Orange Sweet has one of the lowest levels of furocoumarins compared to other citrus oils. It is considered very low level phototoxic so it can be used in skin and facial formulations.

Essential oil made from Orange peel has a very fresh, sweet orange scent. It is uplifting and relaxing and commonly added to blends to fight depression, anxiety and insomnia. It is normally a byproduct of orange juice production so it is one of the largest produced and one of the least expensive essential oils in the world. Orange Sweet has one of the lowest levels of furocoumarins compared to other citrus oils. It is considered very low level phototoxic so it can be used in skin and facial formulations.
Orange essential oil is known as a stimulant for the lymphatic system. When combined with an essential oil like Black Pepper and a hormone balancing essential oil such as Geranium or Fennel it can be a useful treatment for cellulite.
In skin care it is used to treat dry, irritated or acne prone skin. It also has some regenerative properties to treat aging and calloused skin.
For children it is mild enough to be diffused into the air to help relax and get a good nights sleep.
Very fresh Orange essential oil may be sniffed to ease feelings of nausea.
Added to alcohol it makes a good cleanser for cleaning gummy or sticky surfaces.
In pest control Orange sweet can be sprayed to repel flies and ants and is well tolerated by most people.

Note: Most essential oils cannot be taken internally, but even when they can, essential oils are highly concentrated and require dilution, special training and caution that Aroma & More does not yet provide. You can never drink any essential oils at 100% strength or diluted in water-based liquids.
Caution: Furocoumarin levels are not high enough to be classified as phototoxic. Citrus oils have short shelf lives and can cause skin sensitivity if old or oxidized. Essential oils can be harmful if used improperly. Information is provided for educational purposes only. It is up to the customer to determine if the product is right for their intended purpose. Special consideration should be made before applying essential oils to pregnant women, children or the elderly. If under a doctor's care, please consult the physician before using essential oils. If applying to skin essential oils must be diluted correctly and Aroma & More recommends testing on a small area of skin to check for reaction before attempting a full body massage. Claims have not been evaluated by the FDA.
