It has a pleasant Rose or Geranium Rose like aroma and fractions of Palmarosa are commonly used to dilute or adulterate true Rose essential oil.
       Palmarosa is a member of the Cymbopogon (formerly Andropogon) genus of aromatic tropical grasses. Palmarosa has a soft, lemony-fresh green scent with hints of geranium and rose. Palmarosa essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the fresh or dried grass.
       In aromatherapy Palmarosa may be useful for stress related problems, nervousness, fatigue and insecurity. It may help in cases where there is difficulty with change, and the frequent absence of intimate loved ones. Palmarosa is recommended for those who feel clingy, jealous, negativity, suffer from insomnia, or anxiety.
       Palmarosa cooling and moisturizing and is often used as a skin conditioner for acne, eczema, scarring, aging /mature skin and to encourage skin rejuvenation. The mashed leaves have been added to baths for centuries for fragrance and conditioning.
       It has excellent antifungal and antibacterial qualities and is a good mosquito repellent against Anopheles cullicifacies, a common carrier of malaria. (Not recommended for Aedes aegypti the mosquito most common carrier of Dengue and Zika virus).
Note: Most essential oils cannot be taken internally, but even when they can, essential oils are highly concentrated and require dilution, special training and caution that Aroma & More does not yet provide. You can never drink any essential oils at 100% strength or diluted in water-based liquids.
