Bulgarian grown White Sage has a fresh, cooling, camphoraceous aroma with hint of fruity Floral and Spicey notes. The plant is native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico.

White Sage is also called Bee Sage or Sacred Sage and traditionally used to make smudge sticks and for ceremonial purposes and spiritual cleansing. The strong eucalyptus-like, camphoraceous and slightly pine-like scent are what makes this oil so distinct. It has been widely used as a soapless shampoo and conditioning rinse by the Indians where it originally grew.

Although many people know the common Dalmatian or Spanish Sage, the less familiar White Sage (Salvia apiana) is a larger, hardier shrub whose silvery, green leaves have traditionally been used for ceremonial cleansing. It is commonly used for meditation & Yoga. While is has been around for some time, production has been low so data on this oil is very limited. However, the constituent profile and the balance of potent aromatics indicates beneficial uses in diffusers or vaporizers, room sprays, massage and chest rubs, steams or saunas, or in specialized skincare preparations.

Aromatically, White Sage Essential Oil is herbaceous, cineolic and camphorous.
