Lavender 40/42 100% Essential oil

Lavender essential oils are perhaps the most popular oil used in aromatherapy. It has a mild nature that makes it one of the few essential oils that can be applied to small areas of the skin "neat" (at 100% strength).

The name Lavender 40/42 refers to a set standard of linalool and linalyl acetate in its composure, not the percent of lavender in the oil.

That is where the name 40/42 comes from, but it proved difficult to achieve. Only the best farms in the best seasons could produce it. The result was many lavender 40/42 oils did not pass the test or were altered with synthetic chemicals. Today, Lavender 40/42 has come to mean it is a natural standard grade Lavender.
