          Balsam Peru has a pleasant vanilla like aroma popular in in perfumery. It helps create classic Oriental scents and has excellent fixative properties to hold the aroma. Balsam Peru is an extract from the bark of a South and Central American tree. It is not a "true" essential oil but a thick resin.
          In aroma therapy it may be beneficial for respiratory conditions when diffused into the air. It loosens phlegm and helps clear the lungs for easier breathing.  It is energizing, stimulating, uplifting and improves circulation and awareness.
