          Galangal root is widely used in SE Asian cooking as a spice, flavor and as a digestive aid. However, Galangal root essential oil is much too highly concentrated to ingest without dilution, special training and caution.
          In Aromatherapy, Galangal is similar in use as Ginger although the aroma is more similar to a dry ginger. It is more spicy/woody than sweet.
