Juniper Berry is stimulating and beneficial for nervousness and fatigue.
Juniper berry is valuable before or after exercise. Before exercise it is stimulating, improves circulation. It also can open airways to help oxygen reach the muscles more rapidly. Exercise related muscle soreness is often cause by lactic acid build up. It happens when muscles are not receiving enough oxygen and begin burning sugars instead. Opening airways and increasing circulation can reduce the severity and speed recovery time.
After exercise it is a warming oil to place on overworked muscles to draw circulation to the area and reduce pain. Diffusing Juniper Berry in the air may aid in fluid removal and speed the removal of lactic acid. Even without exercise Juniper berry is reputed to reduce pain and may be beneficial for aching joints and muscles.
Note: Most essential oils cannot be taken internally, but even when they can, essential oils are highly concentrated and require dilution, special training and caution that Aroma & More does not yet provide. You can never drink any essential oils at 100% strength or diluted in water-based liquids.

*Safety Errors: There has been many repeated warnings about not using Juniper berry while pregnant or if you have liver or kidney issues. At best, these refer to studies that do not specify the species of Juniper used and the chemistry of these oils seems to indicate Savin or juniper adulterated (faked) by other oils were used, such as Savin (Juniperus sabina), Juniper leaf, Juniper wood or Turpentine. There are no reported cases of true Juniper berry oil being toxic to the unborn, liver or kidneys and test results of Juniper berry Juniperus communis do not reveal any harmful constituent could be present in more than trace amounts. True Juniper Berry is instead known for its ability to detoxify the body. The warnings and benefits in literature do not make sense if Juniper berry’s’ best benefit is detoxifying and yet it is a toxic oil.
