There are very large differences between Cedarwood essential oils. Cedarwood Atlas Morocco and Cedarwood Himalayan are in the pine family and somewhat similar in aroma and use. They are considered mild and have a pleasant sweet, woody aroma. Cedarwood Virginian or Texas are cypress woods and have a somewhat earthy, smokey woody aroma. They are not very similar in composition or aroma. Additionally, raw materials, parts of the tree selected, processing, and age of the wood play an important role in the quality of the oil. We are pleased to find this rich sweet quality of oil to add in our selection.
