  •           Tuberose is sometimes referred to as the Night Queen. It is closely related to narcissus and Jonquil and named for its long tubular flowers.
  •           Tuberose Absolute has a floral/herbal/creamy aroma with some similarities to Neroli. At 100% strength, its power hides the sweeter aroma that is revealed when diluted. It takes 3000 kilograms of flowers to produce just 1 kg of this concentrated extract.

Tuberose has a long-lasting fixative quality that makes it popular in some of the most expensive perfumes and especially natural & sensual perfumes. It is mildly sedative and calming to the nervous system. It is recommended for a good night’s sleep.

Tuberose improves circulation to help warm the body by increasing blood flow to the extremities. It is thought to be emotionally balancing by helping to relieve stress, anxiety, depression and anger while promoting creativity and calm.

There are some interesting therapies that use a person’s natural pheromones to improve libido. These can fail however if bacteria are present which can devour the pheromones and leave only a bad odor behind. Soaps would wash away the bacteria but also the pheromones. Tuberoses’ antibacterial quality may help fight bacteria to reduce body odor, protect pheromones underneath and leave a pleasant scent over top.

It is mainly used for its aroma due to the cost but these qualities make it a good consideration for sensual blends, especially when stress is main cause of lack of interest. It is a powerful oil so a small amount goes a long way and is not recommended or necessary to use over 0.2% in blend.

Note: Most essential oils cannot be taken internally, but even when they can, essential oils are highly concentrated and require dilution, special training and caution that Aroma & More does not yet provide. You can never drink any essential oils at 100% strength or diluted in water-based liquids.

Caution: Not recommended for children under 6 years old or people with hypersensitive skin. Use diluted in very small amounts below 0.2%. EU and IFRA standards may be lower. Essential oils can be harmful if used improperly. Information is provided for educational purposes only. It is up to the customer to determine if the product is right for their intended purpose. Special consideration should be made before applying essential oils to pregnant women, children or the elderly. If under a doctor's care, please consult the physician before using essential oils. If applying to skin essential oils must be diluted correctly and Aroma & More recommends testing on a small area of skin to check for reaction before attempting a full body massage.
