          This Cornmint oil is from an unrefined single distillation and has a strong, fresh, and bittersweet aroma. The total menthol content when first distilled is over 70%, but this is too high for the oil to carry and some of this crystalizes as it cools and is separated out. The remaining product has about 55% menthol and is still sharp, minty and slightly sweet.

           Cornmint oil has a cooling feel that is a great pain reliever for minor burns such as sunburn as well as for sore muscles and aching joints. It is however, a warming oil in that helps draw blood flow to the area where applied.             The first thing that makes this cinnamon extract special is the selection of materials. The producer collects only the inner bark from the older Indian trees instead of the younger farm variety. Cinnamon produces the highest quality bark from long exposure to sunlight in temperatures between 27 to 30 degrees C. Cajeput is known by many names such as River Tea Tree, Swamp Tea Tree, White Tea Tree, Paper Bark Tea Tree and White Wood. Today it is commercially produced mainly in Indonesia, China, Malaysia and Australia.

          Cajeput shares the same benefits as Eucalyptus and Tea Tree and the aroma is more pleasant than a blend of these two.      In order to be classified as a “Select” essential oil an oil must be all natural and a truly exceptional quality that is difficult to duplicate. Due to the producer’s proprietary technique, materials and knowledge this oil is powerful yet missing some of the pungent notes of resins and piperine normally found in Black Pepper essential oil.

     This has a lower dry aroma with almost a hint of frankincense scent but a Black Pepper aroma which more closely resembles the peppercorns used in cooking. These qualities can be helpful for registered formulas because the ingredients can be revealed on a label yet still make a formula difficult to copy.

           This is a rare quality of bergamot we have classified as a special selection or “Select”. It is difficult to find and expensive but this quality is absolutely necessary to produce some of our blends. It has a very rich scent and we are proud to be able to share this with our friends.

          A good quality bergamot really stands alone among other citrus oils. Bergamot has lower terpenes such as d-limonene which allows for a much more flavorful oil. Limonene is not the most desired part of citrus oils in most cases. In citrus oils such as orange, limonene content might be as high as 92% - 96% and the different benefits or aromas come from the small amount of other components in the oil.
